Irritating droning noise from HVAC after dealership service
I own a '18 ES with the DCT and the tech package, bought new and currently has ~20k miles.
This past weekend I took it into my Hyundai dealership for routine maintenance of an oil change, and was also talked into doing a fuel induction service -- as a side note, I was hesitant to do the extra service but the service manager was super insistent and claimed these models definitely need it -- he offered a bunch a coupons so I ended up going with it. Googled afterwards and the consensus seems to be a BS upsell? ...but guess that's for another thread.
Anyway, I didn't drive my car much over the rest of the weekend, but on my commute to work today there was a very noticeable droning/humming sound coming into the cabin from the front of the car -- I had never once heard that noise from this car in the 20k miles/1.5 years I've been driving it. During lunch I was finally able to narrow it down to definitely occurring only when the HVAC is on -- either max heat or max cold is when it's most loud.
Planning on calling the dealership tomorrow, but was wondering if anyone has experienced this before or has an idea what they could've done during the servicing to have caused this?
