Engine and oil pan are the same. With the SX version you do not need an extension.

It says thru 2017. Im assuming since the 17 and 18 are basically the same i should switch as well. Thanks for the info.

Correct. The TSB hasn't been updated but based on this and the advice of several tuners, 5w40 is recommended.

Thanks for reposting that TSB, I wasn't aware.

What oil meets the ACEA A5/B5 spec in a 5w40? Feels like Hyundai has gone out of their way to make it really difficult to follow their own recommendations...

I don't believe there are any that meet that spec. I haven't bothered to worry about it. I just use Motul 5w40 and an OEM filter and call it a day.
