Infotainment system controlling other aspects?

Can anyone let me know whether replacing the stock infotainment system with an aftermarket stereo head unit will remove the ability to control other aspects of the car, like Sport mode, or tracking temps and such?

Sport mode is controlled by a separate button so that should be unaffected. Depends on the unit you go with. I know some tablet style replacements that retain full functions including backup camera, not sure if that is what you are looking for.

Most likely the JVC KW-M855BW or Kenwood Excelon DMX906S, possibly Pioneer AVH-W4500NEX.

It looks like the newer models (2019, 2020) display the mode on the screen, but as long as I can still set the mode by a button the way the previous years work, fine by me.

Thanks!
