Factory nav is rather good with the Bluelink. It's nice to set the destination the evening before from the sofa. It even tries to find gas stations when you get to low fuel.

VoodooIdol, l am finally able to start getting a costume assembled. I hope one day to post a pic in a Tie Fighter Pilot suit.

This! the thicker bezel/frame around the 7" screen is a turnoff for me. International markets surprisingly got a different bezel around the 7" screen and a CD player.

Need to play with Android Auto a bit more. Tried it last night for a quick bit while in my friend's base Elantra w/premium pack. It was ok because I didn't get to really see all that it can do.

Yes, prmium package [Bluelink]

You should also definitely consider the Blue link integration [included with the premium package here in the states]

From my phone, I'm able to remotely start the car and set the climate control to whatever I want. [it's saved me all week from burning my butt on hot leather seats] its a nice convenience I suppose.

Also from the app you can: lock, unlock/ get diagnostic reports/ monthly vehicle reports/schedule maintenance.

I didn't think much of it when I was told about it at the dealer, but it's super convenient once I started using it.

Question:

- Thoughts on the base stereo and Infinity system?

I haven't heard the standard stereo BUT the base on the Ininity sound system is pretty punchy, and the clarity is pretty good.

- Does the larger 8" screen appeal to you?

Definitely, its easier to read whenever you need to use it for nav, I wouldn't say it's gigantic... it is the perfect size I think.

- Is having a native Navigation application important for you?

Ehh, Android auto/apple car place integration is sufficient. HOWEVER, with the native navi AND bluelink.. you are able to send destinations to your car. For example, I was heading somewhere unfamiliar during my lunch break. I was able to send the destination to my car from the "My Hyundai mobile app. when I got in the car, the route was already loaded and ready to go. I just needed to click yes. again, convenient.

- Do you prefer to have a sunroof or it does not matter?
Yes, great for summer morning commutes or summer nights.

- Are blind spot assist and rear cross-traffic alerts a must?

more so for Rear cross-traffic. It has definitely saved me a couple of times from people popping out of nowhere to speeding cars you cant see while backing out of a spot. it even tells you which direction they're coming from.

- Is there a great sense of satisfaction from flexin' on the peasants with base cars? nahh

- To those that have already purchased either, would you change your selection if you could do it again?

Nope! I paid below MSRP with the premium package, but for what you get it's not a bad deal.

Lemme know if you want screenshots of "my Hyundai" app, it's pretty neat.
