Morning all,

I’ve got a 2017 Elantra Sport 1.6l i4 / turbo throwing P2261. The full code is “Turbocharger/supercharger bypass valve 'A' - mechanical”

So far I’ve replaced the recirculation valve and the wastegate solenoid with no luck. Car seems like it drives like normal, I hear the turbo spool up, wastegate solenoid works (I tested it before I put it in). When I replaced the RCV I shook the old one and heard some clinking sounds so took it apart and the spring had rusted and gone to crap, but that didn’t fix it overall.
Any and all help is appreciated! Thanks

I replaced mine with an OEM one. My next move was to go Pierburg, I was getting weird boost readings from my throttle body so I cleaned it and the code went away.. Car was feeling sluggish for a week or so but feels normal now. It’s actual in the shop from a hit and run as of yesterday 😞

Nope & no, I did some research on the catch can a while ago and figured I didn’t think I needed one.
I think it was the wastegate, this thing has been a rollercoaster. After moving it with my hand and spraying the linkage and anything else I could reach with some pblaster everything is running amazing, I think something got seized up. I will report if it comes back
