First off, I would change out the battery in the Fob and see if that was the issue.
SEncond I would check the battery terminals to see if there not loose or anything.
Thirdly I would take the battery to get tested at a parts store.
2018 Elantra sport. Car does not powering on when entering.
On two occasion when I entered my vehicle it did not power on. My digital displays were not present or no sound to indicate the car had power. As if the battery was dead. Not sure if it didn’t register the key FOB. First time I open the trunk and it turned on. Second time I connected a battery jump kit to the battery terminals. Push the start button and vehicle starts with no problem. Not sure if it’s a battery problem, key FOB or maybe a faulty fuse. Any leads or help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
