I accidentally downshifted into 2nd (aiming for 4th) at about 120km/h (6MT), clutch was only engaged for maybe a second, felt a clunk, saw the rpm needle shoot well into red. There’s no indication of a problem but I’m wondering if I’m in for trouble down the road. Any thoughts? Thanks for any info.

Pistons, you may now kiss the Valves.

Seriously, if everything drives fine, you're fine. Chances are if you weren't redlining at the time it happened, which would've sent your RPM through the roof you're ok. If you bent a rod, you would hear it and feel it instantly. If you want to be on the safe side, do a compression test and monitor your oil consumption over the next couple thousand miles. If everything checks out ok, it's tragedy averted.
