Hello everyone.
So I bought a 2019 es mt, and I have never owned a turbo car before this one. I just heard about brake boosting recently, and I tried it, but i'm ether doing it wrong or there is a safety thing that prevents the desired effect from happening.

So I'm rolling at like 40mph and I apply brake pressure in a way that doesn't slow me down but the brake is on. then I start giving it gas to bring rpms up, but it its like the rpms arent climbing and when I release the brake I'm for sure not in boost. Am I doing it wrong? or what? please help my lil noob car brain. lol

I thought maybe I wasn't giving it enough gas, but I don't wanna break anything. hahah

ECU won't allow it.

Not sure. To be honest, with how small the turbo is anyway, there's not enough lag to need brake boosting.
