Get something like a Crown Royal bag to put over it when you get out of the car.It conducts 110 degree AZ heat like a ****ing silver bar.
Doesn't matter, it doesn't have to be in direct sunlight for it to get hot. Radiant heat still sucks.Get something like a Crown Royal bag to put over it when you get out of the car.
Or you could come out here this week when it's 115 and test it out for yourself instead of telling people how they should feel.Or you could just be a man, and not have sensitive hands
I've been driving manuals since 1985. I've always left my hand resting on the shift knob and I've never once damaged a transmission. That guy in the video can go take a flying leap off of a short pier. You know you're not supposed to rest your hand on your shift knob, right? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cbZlhduYJY&feature=youtu.be&t=22s
I'm not sure it would apply to most cases, but some cars it's a no-no. I come from a background of B13 Sentra SE-R's and they along with early 90's Nissan NX vehicles had an issue with "5th gear pop-out". Often caused by resting your hand on the shifter.I've been driving manuals since 1985. I've always left my hand resting on the shift knob and I've never once damaged a transmission. It was just a joke, I'm an older guy not so caught up on this hurt-feelings movementOr you could come out here this week when it's 115 and test it out for yourself instead of telling people how they should feel.![]()
Most jokes and/or sarcasm are lost on the internet. Some things just do not come across as funny. It was just a joke, I'm an older guy not so caught up on this hurt-feelings movement
I've owned and driven such a wide array of manual vehicles and, as it has never happened, is not even remotely on my radar. I'll continue driving every manual I'll ever own with my hand resting on the shifter.I'm not sure it would apply to most cases, but some cars it's a no-no.
