It's either a typo or peak turned out to be less and the max gain rpm point is where the "biggest" gain was.
Those graphs they show you on that page are generated by Microsoft Excel. They are screenshots of the dyno software.
So that is either a made up graph or they take the dyno run data and plug it into excel to generate the graph.
Another thing to remember too is how they report the power difference. It appears they picked an RPM point where the gain was the largest to advertise the power gained.
We do it differently. I advertise gains at the peaks, where you could have an even larger gain somewhere else in the rev range.
I need to get moredescriptive and advertise peak gain as well as the areas where the biggest gains are, albeit at peak or another section of RPM.
