Controls boosts levels more readily, the stock one being plastic and cheap loses its efficiency at controlling consistent boost levels under hard driving, this being stronger more heat resistant material will be better.

Does anyone know what product I need to buy to put my turbo psi higher? I know a tune would help but I can't find a plug and play one. And I don't really feel like voiding my warranty !
Thanks
Raising the boost pressure, no matter how you do it, could potentially void your warranty.

To put it plain and simple, the safest and only way it should be done is with a tune.

LAP3 makes a chip (Uncle boost) that does nothing but raise boost pressure. You aren't going to find anyone telling you that these chips are a good idea though.
