Hi Y'all,

Right now, I am just at the looking stage.
I am interested in a 2020 Sport with premium package.
My problem:

I'm an "old timer." I won't buy any car without a spare tire.
I've been looking all over the place to find a donut that would fit this car.
I would even buy a full size tire if it would fit in the spare tire well. Finding a jack &
wrench would be an easy find. Does anyone out there in Hyundai Sport land have
a spare (18 inch?) that would fit this car? If so, where did you get it?
Thanks......

My 18 ES did come with temporary spare tire and a jack. I imagine you should not have much issues finding complete spare with foam insert for the jack at your local auto recycling facility from Elantra AD family.

I didn't know the 2020 ES didn't come with a spare. Maybe consider getting a CPO 2017/18? I used the spare and worked flawlessly.

I also wasn't aware that the 19/20 didn't have a spare. Learn something new every day.

The 2020 Kia Forte GT I took for a spin a while back also didn't have spare tire, only repair kit. Perhaps this is the new trend for Kia/Hyundai to reduce both weight and costs.

Wonder if the OP is from Canada and it's not an option there?
Hmmm, could I have the wrong info?
I'm in Florida :)
My daughter in-law has a 2013 Elantra. No spare.
Everything I read has more & more new cars are coming without a spare tire.
Just Google it. Hyundai just about tops the list.
I guess I'll have to go to a dealer and see for myself.

First I have to tell my wife that I am looking for a new car.
That's going to be worse than dealing with a dealer!

Makes sense then if you haven't physically looked yet. So yes, all Sport models should come with a compact spare and a scissor jack kit.

Okay, I found the answer:

Sorry for the confusion. It is listed on the window sticker.
This is the exact car that I want.
Not many of the Sports around?

Okay, which of you have the guts to tell my wife about this?

Thanks again. . .

If you think she will even remotely enjoy it, take her for a drive! You can always gloss over the fact that its a "sport" if you think she will try and go for the "normie" version instead.

As for not many being around, its area dependant. Many people they don't see them on the road but where i am i'll see a few 17/18 models in a week and the 19/20's i'm starting to see more of on the roads!
