Hi guys,

Have to said that I am kind of new in the FI world..

I have a cold air intake and sometimes on hard load at low-mid rpm I heard the diverter valve or blow off valve (not sure what is it stock) making a rattle snake kind of sound while excess air goes out of it. I would like to understand what those solenoid do and which one (or both?) should I pick to fix that.

Thanks a lot in advance.

The upgraded one is your electronic boost control solenoid?

Ok i see.

Question: Can we install both? Or those 2 are to replace the same oem one?

Careful. TWO Tork boost control solenoids have failed recently, one of them causing an engine failure. Buy at your own risk.

With that said, the "rattlesnake" noise you are hearing is normal.

The rattlesnake noise is normal. An aftermarket ECBS isn’t needed unless you are getting inconsistent boost management from your OEM one. So if you feel it being delivered poorly or inconsistently then replace it.

I don’t care if Tork has new ones or not, don’t touch them. Buy the Borg Warner one from 845 motorsports and be done with it
