The owner's manual calls for 70w. I'm looking to drain and fill the transmission to flush initial break in particles. Anyone here done their's using non-hyundai with success and what are you using?

Did some research and we certainly need to stay in GL4 category. I've been seeing some positive reviews on the Motorcraft XT-M5-QS.

Here are the better performing synthetic MTF I believe will work in the 6MT.

Motorcraft XT-M5-QS
Amsoil 75W-90
Redline MT90 75W-90

I did not list Royal Purple 75W-90 only because it's GL4/GL5 rated. I'm going to try out the Motorcraft and I'll update this thread with my opinion.

I've used the Redline MT90 before in my turbo Miata and it would be my choice here.

Check VT forums on this. There are pages upon pages as to this one oil everyone used. Don't know what it is, but do know it's redline.
