Has anyone tried installing the mud guards on the 2017 Sport? They claim they are not compatible but sometimes you can make it work.

If not, any good alternatives? Would Rally Armor work? I feel like a pair of mud guards or flaps would complement this car well...kind of surprised Hyundai doesn't make any specifically for this model.

Thanks all.

Lol. Well it's not uncommon nowadays for manufacturers to slap a pair of mud guards on their vehicle. The base elantra has them.

It can add some flare and appeal to the vehicle. I'm not advocating for slapping a pair of armor rally's on it...although the WRX pulls it off pretty well.

But I'm wandering if the mud guards they designed for the base elantra could somehow work on the Sport.

They probably will, just check where they clip into on the wheel well.

not into the rally thing at all but if someone can find something like the 2013...

here up north there's a lot of sand and small stone left from winter...
the dealer confirm there's nothing now for the Sport

I did install them except only the rears because the front guards wouldn't fit to the side skirts. These guards are made for the base model but like I said, only the rear will work.

They aren't flashy and they actually complement the car real nice. I'll post a pic when I get a chance.

Do Rear Factory Mud Flaps fit?

Does anyone know if the rear mud flaps for a regular Elantra will fit the back of our cars?

I like in Northern Alberta Canada and the roads are pretty messy here in the winter. I'd like to at least put a set on the rear.

Per my prior post I installed only the rear mudguards I got from Amazon. They fit but the only hole that doesn't line up is the one on the bottom. You can bypass it though...just do nothing with it. the two screws on the side match up and they hold it sturdy. I'm sure the OEM rears would fit in a similar fashion.

Thanks, Laser. I'm from Canada, so Amazon.ca doesn't seem to carry the mud flaps for the 2017 Elantra's. I'm just going to pick up a set from my dealership and give them a try.
