I got the es about 2 months ago im 17 and im getting really good with the stickshift. I was so scared to drive it on the street but now im really getting a ha g of it. Idk bout u guys but i love this car! I mean the way it handles, the power feels good, i really cant complain. However the sound system is a bit weak... i can have a full conversation with someone with the volume all the way up. Ive looked on youtube for chip reviews and aftermarket exhaust sounds but i cant find much. Let me kno whats the best mods for performance is on these beasts!

Congratulations! That's a great first car to start with!!

You'll never find a straight answer on what's the best mods for performance and it's all budget dependent. Don't look at silly performance chips, look at actual tuning boxes and what not.

On a $300 budget, get an intake and then do an extremely light system like an 8'' or 10'' sub and around 500 watt amp. Never need more than that ESPECIALLY in these things. You will otherwise rattle everything loose in like 5k miles or less. i had a dope car when i was 17 (8 years ago aint that long) and had a decent sound system in there to immerse myself in to. 10/10 would do that with the ES

Welcome to the ES forums!!!

Yes, "chips" are generally bunk. And the ones that aren't are straight up dangerous - they trick the ECU into thinking that things are happening in the engine that aren't really happening so that it will deliver more power.
