Hey all,

Elantra SR Turbo owner here (it's what we call the sport in Australia). I am extremely happy with the car so far but like all cars and bikes I own or have owned, I will be looking at modding/tuning it and cosmetic changes too. This forum seems to be the richest source of information and chat about all that :)

Mines a 'Polar white' 2016 MY17 6MT with black leather interior, standard (for Au Market) 17" wheels. https://imgur.com/a/qbVxu

Welcome! So jealous you guys don't have yellow lights/reflectors in the headlights!
Cheers, I hadn't even noticed them on the US spec cars but you're right, looks better without :)

Welcome to the ES forums!

Birdman... is that a reference to the Aussie band Radio Birdman, by chance?
Thanks, Nah it isn't unfortunately, my nickname has been Birdman for many years becuase of how close it is to my surname ;)

With you on that. The reflectors bother me more than having front plates
I am quite jealous of not needing front plates (in some states?) makes the front of the car look amazing.

Love the headlights for sure, but overall it looks great.

Also love that they call it the Elantra SR Turbo down there.. sounds fancier haha
I like that Turbo is in the name ;) but a lot of the sportier Hyundai's here are 'SR' models, have been for I think maybe 6 odd years - but this is the first IMO to really deserve it!

It's funny the difference between models depending on where they're sold. like the 17" wheels ours have standard and the 18's you get as standard are an option, but the sunroof is standard, electric seat, rear cross traffic, blind spot monitoring all standard.

We don't get the option for the infinity sound system and 8" screen which would at least be nice to get offered, and what I really want... Seat memory!!! with an electric seat waiting for it to move back after she has driven it seems to take an eternity! I wonder if a system can be retrofitted...
