Hey guys, I've been posting in other parts of the forum but figured I should add a thread here. DCT with premium package in Galactic Gray. I'm loving it so far.

Coming from a Subaru WRX, it's lacking in power by quite a bit, but it has so many extra options and the ride is much smoother overall. Very satisfied owner!

Welcome! What made you leave the Subaru for the ES?
Mostly MPG (I was getting 20 mpg and will be changing from 10 miles/day to 40 miles/day commute) and wanting something a bit more practical. I had spent a bit modding my WRX, and the next mods were going to be engine/turbo and didn't want to be stuck with a money pit. I'll do a couple small things to the ES, but I mostly wanted something I wasn't going to spend a bunch of money on.

I feel you. My wife and I bought the ES for MPG as well since she was tired of driving the STi 34 miles each way back/forth to work and wanted an automatic for the big city rush hour traffic.

I know exactly what you mean. We had a Nissan 350z and that thing drank gas like crazy, don't know if something was wrong but the fun-to-gas ratio wasn't adding up. Rather get the ES, save money, and still have something peppy enough for me.

Its no V6 but fun enough for me.

I'm liking the DCT a lot, although I do have an issue with manual downshifting from 4th. It always skips 3rd and drops to 2nd... really annoying. Aside from that, it appears to be a fantastic transmission.

I'll definitely enjoy the better mileage, but I won't lie - it has only been 3 weeks and I'm already looking into some older WRXs to try to pick up as a project.

Hummmmm - my DCT downshifts manually through each gear with no problems

I like the DCT too, I've seen a couple of 0-60 runs online that both show the DCT to be quicker than the manual 6-speed ??
Yeah it seems like I'm on the only with that issue... I posted a thread in the 'Likes and Dislikes' forum with more info on it. Everything else works normally, but it just doesn't seem to like downshifting from 4th to 3rd manually.
