Was originally interested in the Sentra NISMO. I work at the Nissan test center in AZ so had a few chances to drive one before they were available to the public. Overall it was a huge disappointment for me. The seating position was too high (great seats though), shifter was really sloppy, and was not keen on having a performance oriented car with a torsion beam rear suspension. During this time Hyundai had announced the ES, and then shortly after announced that it was coming to the US. Had plans on buying one right away, but unfortunately due to some circumstances out of my control, I had to wait 5 months before I could pick one up. Wanted a blue manual but there were none in my area, so I settled for my second color choice - Gray. More than happy with my purchase, coming up on 4 years with it in April and I don't see it going anywhere just yet. Though I have my eyes and ears open for whatever Toyota plans to do with the GR Corolla. I may end up switching to that...
