Hey guys, I’ve noticed since i’ve gotten my tune set up i’ve been hearing this weird whistle / whine when on FOT that has me kind of concerned.

Firstly a mod list, 98 octane fuel tune pushing 21psi, redline pushed to 7k, HKS M45-XL spark plugs, GFB BOV, cat and muffler delete, afe intake.

When on FOT the turbo makes the weird whistle that reminds me of a turbo wheel going bad. maybe it’s a known. noise of these engines when being pushed but i’d like to know if it’s been heard before?

Hi. To me, this sounds like it could be a boost leak as I heard this exact noise last night before the coupler going to the hot pipe from the turbo popped off. From my experience, that's what it sounds like. Do you know what your boost levels are at when you start hearing that?

I’m hitting peak 21psi as per the tune. I seriously doubt it’s a boost leak as i’m not having any performance issues and the car itself is performing fine

Would it not be either showing a CEL, not hitting target boost or at the very least been down on performance if it was a boost leak? I have none of those issues so i’m not sure if it truely is a boost leak

Id also like to add this noise became more prominent when i got the CAI
