Swiffer duster the interior on my lunch break. Post winter dust is real in my part of the world. Roads are covered in it, and doesn't really go away until late April/early May :(. 1-2 times a week to the car wash for a spray off, no point in a full wash until the roads are cleaner.

California duster? I live in AZ and have to deal with dust as well. I just dust off the car 1-2 times a day and combine that with a little quick detailer action keeps it clean between washes. :)

Dusters Starter Kit | Swiffer
One of these, works well and is small. I used to work in an auto detailer(brother owned it) many moons ago, so keeping it up to snuff is easy. Year round dust where you are would drive me nuts, as I only really have to deal with it 2-3 months of the year.

No I meant for the outside of the car.

Oh I get yah now. Not really an option, it is very coarse dust, and that is never a good idea to drag all over your car at the best of times. From when I park it in the least busy section of the parking lot at 7ish AM, to lunch at 12ish, there is really no longer a sexy black car. It will have almost certainly been replace by a drab as heck beige driving appliance. Car wash is $2 for 2.5 minutes, and I can completely cover the car in that time, with time for quick underbody splash too.
That's why I don't buy black cars anymore. :p

Hard not to agree there, but worth it when the work is put in ;).
Received my boost gauge today, will be installing it as well as changing the turn signals, license plate lights and all interior lights to LEDs. I'll post pics when done.
Anyone going to jump on the resonator delete yet? Interested to know what it sounds like.

Will you be posting a DIY for the boost gauge?! That would be greatly appreciated.

You know, I have never done a DIY, but I will see what I can do. I'll be installing everything Saturday morning.

Installed the LED blinkers, reverse lights and interior lights...

I used ZeVo 2357 led bulbs for the blinkers and they look great, but do Hyperflash. That's doesn't bother me but the constant notification on the dash and the orange triangle with the exclamation mark sucks. I wonder if there is a way to flash that off the ECU. Or at least dial down the trigger point seeing how the car thinks I have a bulb out. Either way I think they look great.

The boost gauge is installed. And I tucked it away inside the cluster, as I have not found a viable mounting option that I want yet. Maybe in the future I will adjust the location but nothing on the cluster is blocked. Install was easy, I didn't go through the firewall, but inside the quarter panel into the cabin.

Today I did a test fitment of the new wheels that we will be putting on the Elantra these are a 18x8+40 and they sit really nicely.

Unfortunately the slicks will be coming off and we will be putting a set of summer performance tires on instead :( The slicks were definitely cool to see on it though!

Tyson
Now this is something that's begging for an answer. What did you run those slicks on?! They look glorious on the ES!!:eek:

Plasti dip and debadge

Today I debadged the rear "Elantra" and "Sport" badges and plastidipped the Hyundai badge black. Waiting on my M&S rear spoiler from kdm-motors.com. May be getting a muffler and resonator delete done, price I was quoted was good just have do to some more research as to whether I will void my warranty or not.

Removing the pieces of the exhaust shouldn't void your warranty. They would have to prove that what you did to the car cause whatever to break. Ultimately, removing a muffler wouldn't cause any other issues to the car. If that was the case, everyone putting on aftermarket exhaust systems would have no warranty.

They said the issue isn't with modifying the exhaust, and said if I were to go aftermarket they would still warranty. What the service manager was concerned about was the increase in back pressure by having no muffler. He worries that the added back pressure could have some detrimental effect on the turbo and associated components. He said with an N/A car he would warranty it no question.

Changing the exhaust to a less restrictive setup would decrease back pressure, no? Pretty sure...

That's what I thought... No restrictions, and free flow... Should not be any back pressure.

If that was the case everyone running open downpipes would have blown turbos
