Put some Bosch icon wipers on and added some husky all weather mats front and rear.

Just patiently waiting for my catch cans and SXTH intake/res delete.

VTear silicone rubber inserts. Really like the look of them. Product has a real nice feel to it and all the parts fit perfectly. Got it from AliExpress.

Took delivery today. I think there is a problem though. Drove 50 miles back home 60-80 mph and the dash says 41 mpg. That's better than my 15 Optima Hybrid.

I read through every post here. Keep it up folks.

Dash reads 3-4 mpg high. Mine said 33mpg yesterday when I filled up and it hand calculated to 30. I did average 38mpg for a few tanks on a trip to Colorado and back last summer, so high 30's are possible.

Installed my Torque Solutions Lower Engine Mount inserts. Ordered them from Ebay. 65 Durometer. Had to trim them a bit on the edges with a grinder to make them fit perfectly. Like the fact that they are black, so look just like the factory inserts until you touch them. Definitely notice a difference in shifting with my DCT, but won't know for sure how much of a difference until some of the icy roads melt enough to really try them out. There is no vibration in the cabin at idle or while driving - only notice vibration at 800 - 900 rpm, so pretty much only when I take my foot off the brake at a dead stop and the engine rpm speeds up a bit to prep for takeoff. Paid $80 CDN shipped.

Our other car is also a 15 Optima Hybrid EX - no real comparison mileage wise between ours, though. ES averages 28, Optima Hybird 35 - but we live and commute in the foothills of the mountains, so hardly anywhere is flat. We've seen in the 50s on trips in the hybrid. No trips so far in the ES.

Best I ever got out my old 2016 Elantra with the 1.8 was 45 on the way to MD from NC. So far the most I’ve gotten out of my ES was 35 but I was also driving pretty conservative.

Tried to start it to drive home from work. Looks like the key fob is knackered as it won't start. Hyundai roadside came out but couldn't get it to start. They suggested getting the spare key and just waiting on wifey to bring it.

Hopefully I don't have to get it towed.

Update. Tried the second fob and no good.
Off to the dealer on a tow truck tomorrow

Battery on the car? Did you try taking the fob and pressing the start button with it? I know that’s how you’re supposed to start it if your fob battery is dead. But it sounds like something else

Yeah mate before I called Hyundai I went through the owners manual. It prompted me once to place the fob at the button but no joy. Tried a heap of things like unlocking and re locking the car.

Switching from Pierce to full SXTH setup shortly and getting the Pierce unit off to put up for sale. Proceeds go to my 2nd set of wheels for the time being.
Cant wait to see a video of that setup man.
